The Immaculate Perception Wall Paper
The Immaculate Perception Project
The Immaculate Perception Project is a design-based manufacturing initiative between Craft Victoria and Wilding that emerged through the Victorian Government's Design Victoria Strategy. It is driven by a commitment to traditional craftsmanship, innovative thinking and common sense, and is supported by public and private entities committed to the responsible management of a sustainable future.
The project draws on the history of wallpaper design and production to demonstrate how knowledge of the past informs contemporary art, fashion and interior design. Four Craft Victoria members worked together to develop nine patterns signifying moments of personal inspiration. Reflecting on the nature and order of things, they applied specialised skills to produce work rich in colour for the Architecture, Planning and Building Industry.
It is a product of Craft Victoria's 'New Craft Made in Victoria' program, which sees Craft Victoria collaborate with enterprising practitioners to further Victoria's innovative manufacturing culture.
